Application Instructions

Fire clay construction products are tiles and bricks that are suitable for refractory linings up to
temperatures of 1100 °C. In case of short-term one-sided load up to 1200 °C. The construction
products are pressure-resistant and abrasion-resistant against sweeping.

Due to their frost resistance, fire clay products are suitable to be used in systems exposed to periodic
weather conditions, e.g. chimney systems.

dust extraction are recommended.

Information on occupational safety

Many fire clay construction products are produced using natural
raw materials that contain crystalline quartz.

Respirable quartz dust particles release when machining - e.g.
cutting or drilling - these products.

Long-term increased dust exposure can cause damage of the
lung (silicosis) and increase the risk of lung cancer as a result of
silicosis.

The following protective measures must be taken:

• Use breathing mask P3/FFP3 when cutting and drilling.
• Use wet cutting equipment or devices with dust extraction.
